half way through

I admit to not giving my all to this class. I'm having a hard time. I haven't been fully reading my homework nor paying attention in class. I'm skating by and I feel bad about it. I'm very excited about the final project however.
This class has been depressing. I and almost everyone I know has gone through American public schools.
The American education system is so messed up. Not that I want to put negative or positive feelings on it, I know everything happens perfectly as it should at all times, but I don't see why it is the way it is.

I missed class today, I was not in a space to attend. I made the conscious decision to take a day off and nurture myself.

After a conversation with Kathy at lunch today who is in "Global sustainable Environment" with John Collins reading Plan B by Lester R. Brown I got slightly depressed and overwhelmed by all the problems today's world faces. I like to live in my happy bubble in Fairfield Iowa, meditating, eating healthy food, having enlightening conversations, thinking about education and children all day, and the combination of my class on the problems of the American education system with her class on the environmental and political issues was a lot to take on. But I will be the hummingbird:
